Climate Post-Doc Program

Who are we?

What will you be doing?

• Review startup pitch decks and provide recommendations during weekly investment team meetings
• Support the investment team by researching data on startups and constructing market maps
• Assist with portfolio company management by gathering information, preparing reports, and managing external communication

• Independent and self-starter, with the ability to manage projects with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating ideas and viewpoints effectively
• Enthusiastic about a startup culture, willing to engage actively and support team efforts
• Comfortable in a collaborative, diverse environment that encourages constructive challenge to promote the best ideas
• Highly personable, contributing to a warm, fun, and friendly team culture

Essential Qualifications:

• An academic degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Agricultural Science, or Forestry
• A Ph.D. in one of the aforementioned fields
• A strong commitment to addressing climate change and promoting a regenerative world
• An ability to support diverse opinions and constructively challenge differing viewpoints
• Fluency in English; proficiency in an additional European language is advantageous
• Compliance with the reliability standards set forth in § 1 (20) No. 1-3 of the German Anti-Money Laundering Act

Desirable Qualifications:‍

• Experience in fast-paced environments such as banking or consulting
• Familiarity with the startup ecosystem and direct interaction with entrepreneurs
• Technical knowledge related to climate or experience in one of our key verticals
• Financial acumen and the ability to apply it to various scenarios
