Who are we?

What will you be doing?

• Identify the most promising technical founders in your ecosystem, for example, in labs, at hackathons, in research groups, or launching their first startup and connect them to World Fund.
• Show up where climate-focused technical founders gather: universities, events, and accelerators, and make it easy for them to find us.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders: professors, lab leads, accelerator managers, and fellow researchers.
• Share your technical and ecosystem knowledge when we evaluate companies in your area.
• Keep us informed on which research is being commercialised, which founders are worth watching, and which technologies are gaining traction in your city.

And who are you?

We are looking for PhD researchers working at the frontier of technical fields relevant to climate and deep tech. You do not need a background in finance or investing; what matters is that you are deeply embedded in a technical research community and genuinely curious about how science and deep tech innovation can be scaled into businesses. Ideally you are currently enrolled in, or recently completed, a PhD in a technically rigorous field relevant to one of World Fund's verticals.

Essential:

• Enrolled in a technical PhD programme
• Committed to tackling climate change and helping build a regenerative world

Desirable:

• Experience in the startup ecosystem or direct interaction with entrepreneurs
• Technical knowledge or experience in one of our key climate verticals
